Safeguarding is our uppermost priority in school. The staff of Carnagill Community Primary School want all children to be safe and secure. Our safeguarding procedures are robust and rigorous to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our school community.
We follow the North Yorkshire Safeguarding Children Board procedures and use CPOMS to record concerns and disclosures.
We aim to maintain a positive relationship with all parents. The school will, in most circumstances, endeavour to discuss all concerns with parents about their child/ren. However, there may be exceptional circumstances when the school will discuss concerns with Social Care and/or the Police without parental knowledge (in accordance with Child Protection procedures).
Please see our Safeguarding policy for more details.
The Designated Senior Persons for Safeguarding are Louise Newport (HT) and Rebecca Wigham. The link governor for Safeguarding is Chris Thwaites.
If you have any concerns about the safety and wellbeing of a child, please contact either of them on 01748 833622.
